What is the online content of the BBC Radio One Live Lounge?
On the BBC website the live lounge has a button to allow audiences to live stream the current segment playing on their radio station. They also contain the latest live lounge episodes so people can easily access their previous episodes. There are also snippets of single songs from episode and remixes and mashup of episodes. On the "live lounge month" page there is a full line up of what is coming up within the full month and special or exciting news/ live lounge episodes. There is also a page on Clara Amfo of the host of BBC 1 live lounge.
How does this affect media industries and and audiences?
The presenter of live lounge (Clara Amfo) and the presenters of radio 1 breakfast show (nick Grimshaw) may take pictures with celebrities and uploads them to Instagram- fans of these celebrities will find these photos and will be drawn into the radio 1 Instagram by tags and hashtags on the photo being looked up by the celebrities fanbase. Radio 1 has a twitter account which updates the public on the celebrities news, new covers and who will be joining them next.

The live lounge can be accessed through different platforms of media, these include: Iplayer, watch live, stream, on radio, catch up. By being able to watch and listen to BBC Iplayer on lots of different places allows an array of audience to be bale to listen and stream the BBC Live Lounge.
How far does it go to meet the PSB remit? "to offer a distinct..."
The remit of radio 1 is to entertain and engage a broad range of young listeners with a distinctive mix of contemporary music and speech. Its target audience is 15- 29 year olds and it should also provide some programming for younger teenagers. It should offer a range of new music, support emerging artists - especially those from the UK - and provide a platform for live music. News, documentaries and advice campaigns should cover areas of relevance to young adults. The remit is met by BBC Radio 1 live lounge as it provides a platform for live music and meets its target audience by using casual, conversational language that they will understand and relate too.
