FRONT COVER ANALYSIS

The layout on the MOJO magazine is very organised and all the cover lines are neatly aligned. It also has quite a lot of cover lines, also including some additional pictures as well as the main image of the band. However the layout on billboard magazine is very minimal compared to MOJO as it only includes very few cover lines but each very small. The main image takes up most of the front cover.

The Masthead on MOJO magazine is the largest bit of text and boldest so it can be seen. Billboard's mast head is the same with how its the largest and boldest bit of text, however its vertical and MOJO is horizontal.

The colour scheme on MOJO is white and orange  to not make it look too busy as its background is full of colour whereas billboards colour scheme is white and the background is grey. The two magazines are the complete opposite because MOJO is extremely colourful and billboard is extremely plain and minimal.

The typography on MOJO and billboard are both very plan, neither of the magazines have used a unique font but it suits the front cover on both as MOJO's would look to busy if they had done a font that really stood out and the minimal look that billboard was trying to achieve has worked.

MOJO is a classic rock genred magazine where as billboard doesn't have a genre it goes by. Therefore MOJO mainly uses white men as the cover photo because rock musicians are stereotypically white men but billboard uses both men and women of any culture.

MOJO magazine is aimed at older people (mainly men) where as billboards primary target audience is teenagers that listen to the popular artists that are around now.
