The Sex Pistols originally comprised vocalist Johnny rotten (John Lydon), guitarist Steve Jones, drummer paul Cook and bassist Glen Matlock. Matlock was replaced by Sid Vicious in early 1977. 

Punk rock (or "punk") is a rock music genre that developed in the mid-1970s in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. 
Punk bands typically produced short or fast-paced songs, with hard-edged melodies and singing styles, stripped-down instrumentation, and often political, anti-establishment lyrics.

-Pink Floyd were an English rock band formed in London in 1965. They achieved international acclaim with their progressive and psychedelic music. 
- Pink Floyd were founded by students Syd Barrett on guitar and lead vocals, Nick Mason on drums, Roger Waters on bass and vocals and Richard Wright in keyboards and vocals. 
- They gained popularity performing in London's underground music scene during the 1960's.
- Under Barretts leadership they released two charting singles and a successful debut album (The Piper at the Gates of Dawn).
- Pink Floyd were introduced into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and the uk Music Hall of Fame in 2005. 
- By 2013, the band had sold more than 250 million records worldwide.
